Christmas Pop-up Shop 2023

Our Christmas Pop-up Shop is back this year, building on the success of last year and our Fresh Friday events this summer.  Offering you local regenerative produce from Redwoods Farm, along with artisan stalls for Christmas gifts and fun for all the family, make sure you don't miss our festive fun!

For those of you who have attended our Fresh Fridays this summer, you'll know we've made the most of the lovely sunny weather to show off the beautiful views from the top of the farm.  The colder and wetter weather means we host our Christmas pop up down the lane at the farm, under cover - so no need to worry about the rain!  Make sure to wrap up warm and wear shoes suitable for walking in grass if you'd like to participate in the elf adventure hunt and meet the animals.

You can see below a little of how it looked last year . . .

What do we have planned?

We've got some exciting things up our sleeves for our Christmas Pop Up Shop!  From delicious pulled lamb and hot chocolate to an elf adventure hunt, we've got plenty to keep you entertained!  Not to mention we'll have our well-loved range of pasture raised, soy-free meats and pasture raised eggs for you to shop.

Please note that while we will be providing activities for children, you will need to supervise your children at all times and adhere to any signs or instructions.

Date: 2 December 2023

Time: 2 - 6.30pm

We'll be open and ready to rock from 2pm until 6.30pm, with pulled lamb rolls served from 4.30pm, of course with Redwoods Farm lamb.  Rolls will be just £6 each, with kids eating for £4.50.  We'll have hot chocolate, other drinks and cakes available throughout. You can browse our regenerative produce selection as well as a few other local artisan stalls - see below who will be joining us!

You'll be able to meet some of our farm animals and our beloved Ruby, who is smiling at you at the top of this page with her Christmas hat on!  I've also heard there may be some naughty elves causing trouble, we might need your help sort them out!

Regenerative meats and eggs

Here for your Christmas Dinner? Look no further!

Browse the Redwoods Farm selection of pasture raised, soy-free pork, chicken, lamb and beef as well as our pasture raised eggs.  If you're looking for an alternative to turkey this year, we have a few of our Christmas special cockrells left.  Grown out on pasture until 16 - 20 weeks, these birds are full of flavour and big enough to feed 8 - 12 people.

Although we'll have a wide range of our meats available on the day, we are likely to sell out quite quickly of popular products.  If you fancy anything in particular, drop me a message to pre-order and if we have it available there will just be a small deposit to secure your order.  We also have meatboxes available on our webstore here if you need to stock up the freezer.

Although Katie herself from Katie Chapple Photography cannot be with us on the 2nd, she's providing a selection of her beautiful cards and her new 2024 calendar for you to browse and purchase.  Katie is a very talented photographer and has done most of the photography for our website!  She specialises in pet and family photography, if you want to book your own photoshoot with Katie, you can find her on Facebook or visit her website to find out more.

Jenna will be joining us from The Wood Nest.  She's a designer maker who produces a unique range of gifts and more using locally sourced sawmill offcuts or reclaimed wood, to create a canvas for new work, inspired by her adventures in nature.  She has a brilliant eye for detail and you can feel her love for the natural world around her in her art pieces.  Find Jenna on Instagram @thewoodnestdevon or visit her website to find out more.

Paula at Felting Feels will be showcasing her beautiful products at our Christmas pop up.  She has had a love of wool for many years, knitting many wonderful things but she really found her passion when she learnt to felt just a couple of years ago.  Since then Paula has invested a lot of time mastering the art and amazes me with the huge range of felted creations she crafts.  She'll be happy to explain the felting process and show you her products when you visit us.  If you'd like to find out more, check out her Instagram @feltingfeels or head over to her website.

If you think your Christmas tree needs a beautifully handmade touch, my sister Suzie has made a few decorations for you to purchase.  She spends every spare minute crocheting or knitting, when she's not busy being a farm vet, shearing sheep or rolling wool!  She however cannot be with us at our Christmas pop up because she's in Australia . . .  shearing sheep and rolling wool!  You can see more of her fabulous creations on Instagram @sheepnstitches.

We look forward to seeing you and sharing in the festivities!

Fresh Friday - future dates

After our final Fresh Friday of 2023 on 29 September, we're taking a little break from them over the winter.  I mean, who wants to hang around in a field in the cold and rain . . . looks around at all us farmers & our livestock 🤣

But don't worry, we'll be back with our Fresh Friday program for 2024, so you can subscribe to The Redwoods Roundup mailing list to make sure you get your reminder straight to your inbox, or you can check our socials & website for updates.
