Calling all fibre folks! This weekend, 7th-8th June, we will be at the Great British Fibre Festival at Coldharbour Mill in Uffculme, exhibiting our Redwoods Fibre range alongside a whole host of other local wool producers.
Redwoods Fibre from Redwoods Farm
Last summer we soft launched a range of fibre products from our very own Highlander sheep fleece. We processed a small amount ourselves at a local Mill, separate to the main fleece production that goes to British Wool, largely to gauge interest selling direct to our customers.
We had a limited amount of roving fibre (used for spinning, felting and more), along with Double Knitting yarn (great for weavng, knitting, crochet etc). These are available undyed, in the lovely off-white natural colour as the sheep grows it and we are fortunate to have Suzie natural dyeing small batches of limited edition shades from grown or foraged dyestuffs.
Well, it proved so popular we have processed a larger batch from our 2024 wool clip and increased our product range too, adding 4ply yarn to the range.
Great British Fibre Festival
We are fortunate that The Great British Fibre Festival is right on our doorstep at Coldharbour Mill in Uffculme, and as the festival shares our values of ethically produced British wool fibre, it seemed a natural fit for us to become an exhibitor.
We will have undyed and naturally dyed DK and the exciting launch our 4ply yarn, along with roving for felting and spinning.
